Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Coconut Laddu with Jaggery:

  1. 1 cup grated coconut
  2. 1/2 cup jaggery
  3. 1/4 cup mawa / khoya
  4. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  5. 2 tsp ghee
  6. 1 tbsp chopped pistachios for garnishing

Instructions to make to make Coconut Laddu with Jaggery

  1. In a heavy bottom, the vessel cooks grated jaggery with 1/4cup water on medium heat till the jaggery melts. After cooled filter the jaggery water and keep it aside.
  2. Further, heat 1tsp ghee in a heavy bottom Kadai on medium flame. Add grated coconut and roast for 4-5 minutes, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
  3. Now add jaggery syrup and Mawa, stir and mix everything together. Turn the flame on low. Let the coconut cook well in the jaggery syrup. Stir continuously and cook until the mixture is close to thick.
  4. Now add cardamom powder and 1tsp ghee mix well. Turn off the heat and keep it aside for a few minutes.
  5. When the mixture is warm grease your palm with ghee and starts making small balls of the mixture. Garnish with some chopped pistachios. Delicious coconut laddu is ready. Enjoy 😊
