- For the gravy - Heat oil (3 tb.spoon.)add hing, clove, cumin, green chilli and ginger.Saute. Now add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Add tomato puree,cook for 6-7 min.or till the oil releass.
- Add water (3 cups) and cook for 5 min.Add dal balls into it and cook for 5-6 min.Switch off the gas.Sprinkle coriander leaves and garam masala and mix.
