  1. Soak the moong dal in water for 2 hrs. Rinse thoroughly with water several times. Discard the water.
  2. In a kadhai, add oil and switch on the burner. When the oil is hot, add cumin seed and allow it to flutter. Add wheat dalia and fry till golden brown.
  3. Transfer dalia in a pressure cooker. Add washed moong dal and water. Add salt, turmeric powder and chili powder and cover with lid. Cook in low flame till whistle blows once. Switch off the burner and let it cool down to room temperature.

Switch off the burner. Add chat masala powder and allow it to cool.
  5. Now khichri and curry are arranged in a plate and decorated with rest of the vegetables like cucumber, tomato, beet, onion, green chili, green peas and coriander leaves.
