- 250 gm Bathua -
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin -
- 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder -
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 11/2 tbsp Rice flour -
- 1 tsp Ginger .(grated)
- 1/2 tsp Carom seeds /ajwain -
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Desi ghee -
Steps to make to make Bathua saag tempered with ajwain,ginger & red chilli powder
- Boil bathua saag and cut finely.Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,red chilli powder 1/2 t.spoon., coriander powder and salt.Saute,Add chopped bathua saag.Add 3 cups of water and mix.
- Take a bowl,mix rice flour and water.(1/2 cup)Add to the saag and mix.Cook it on low flame for 7-8 min.
- For the tadka - heat Desi ghee in a tadka pan,add carom seeds,ginger,saute.Now add red chilli powder and switch off the gas.Pour this tadka in the saag and cover.
- Your bathua saag is ready to serve.Serve it with roti or rice.
