- 1/2 tsp dal chini powder
- 1 tsp sugar

- 1/2 lemon juice
- 2 tsp coriander leaves
- For the outer layer -
- 1 cup of maida
- as per taste salt
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- as required water to knead the dough
- as required oil for fry
Instructions to make to make Gol Moong Dal Kachori
- Heat the oil in the pan and do the rai jeera hing tadka...add washed moong dal and water just upto the level dal gets soaked...add haldi, chilli powder, salt and garam masala, mix once and close the lid and let the dal cook on low flame....keep checking in between
- Once half cooked add sugar, dhania jeera powder and dal chini powder in dal...mix it slowly
- Once the dal is cooked in 15-20 mins, ensure no water is there add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix it and your stuffing is ready
- For the outer layer...take Maida, salt and ghee in a bowl and knead the dough like you normally do for kachori
- Roll the small Puri of the dough, put the stuffing which around 1 tsp and roll it in round shape like a kachori. Ensure the dough is not broken anywhere or else your kachori will burst in oil
- Heat the oil and fry the kachori on a medium to low flame
- You can deep fry it or you can also bake it...in the pic shown the fried version
- Serve the hot kachori with meethi and spicy green chutney
