Instructions to make to make Moong Dal Tadka
- Rinse the moong dal and soaked into water for 15 minutes. In a pressure cooker add the soaked dal with 1 cup water.add turmeric powder and bay leaf.pressure cook the dal for 2 whistles. Release the pressure naturally and then open the cooker.
- Take a wok add oil heat it.add onion saute until onion turns light brown,add chopped tomatoes and green Chilli.add red Chilli powder and little salt.cook it for 2-3minutes..
- When tomatoes turn soft and mushy add cooked dal mix well.add some water and kasuri methi. Bring it a boil.then remove from gas.
- Take tempering pan add ghee heat it.add cumin seeds,asafoetida and btoken dry red chilli.when cumin seeds start splutter add kashmiri red Chilli powder and switch off the gas.add this tempering into cooked dal.serve hot with roti or plain rice.
