  1. Cut the onions and tomatoes into thin slices.
  2. In a kadai add 1 teaspoon oil,add the chopped onions,garlic and saute till it is transparent.
  3. Add a little salt and tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes until it is mashy.soak the cashews in water for 10 mins.
  4. Let the onions and tomatoes cool down.
  5. Grind the onions, tomatoes,ginger and cashew into a fine paste.
  6. In a kadai add oil,whole garam masala and the ground paste.
  7. Add the kashmiri chilli powder,salt,sugar. ADD THE PANEER TO THE DISH.
  8. Cook the gravy until the raw smell is gone.F inally add the kasuri methi crushed into the gravy.paneer butter masala is ready.
